To make these...
Just melt some caramel candies, with a splash of milk, in the microwave on medium power at 45 second intervals, until they are nice and liquidity. Then with the seedless grapes on toothpicks, dip the grapes into the melted caramel and then into crushed walnuts or peanuts. Place them on waxed paper until the caramel gets firm again.

Then I went a little grape dipping crazy and coated some in melted chocolate and crushed walnuts! These were equally as delicious!
To make these...
Just melt some chocolate chips in the microwave according to the package directions. Add a little corn syrup to thin the chocolate if needed. Then with the seedless grapes on toothpicks, dip the grapes into the melted chocolate and then into crushed nuts of your choice. Place on waxed paper and set aside until chocolate hardens.

I think next time I'll dip them in caramel AND chocolate!

These get gobbled up real quick! I froze the chocolate covered ones and LOVED that too! You may want to remove the toothpick before freezing or else you'll have to nibble around it because it won't come out after it's frozen! But it was still all good! =)

ReplyDeletePortion control...yes, as long as you don't consider the whole tray one portion like I did! lol!
DeleteMaking these for a party this weekend. Wondering if i could make them the day before the party or the morning of the party? Didn't know how they hold?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you can! Maybe just keep them in the fridge and take them out about 1/2 hour before serving! Are you making the chocolate dipped ones also?
DeleteI'm just making the caramel ones for now. Thanks for the quick reply!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome! Please comeback and let me know how you liked them! Thanks! =)
DeleteI'm making both the caramel and chocolate ones for a baby shower. Can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I know these will be gobbled up very quickly! Please let me know how it goes! Thank you so much! =D
DeleteHi! Are these just as good with walnuts? My friend is allergic to peanuts and I would love to make them for a party. Can you make both the caramel and chocolate the night before and should you serve cold?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
Oh yes, I made them with walnuts and they are just yummy! And you can definitely make these the night before. After you dip them and add the nuts just place them on a platter and store them in the fridge. I serve them cold from the fridge. They go so quickly that they never get a chance to reach room temperature...lol! Please come back and let me know how you liked them. Thanks! =D
