The Best Marinade for London Broil!

The Best Marinade for London Broil

I don't usually eat grilled London broil because it just never has enough flavor for me! Well, that was until I tried this marinade!
It is PERFECT! Now I make this often! Even in the winter when my barbecue is covered with snow! I just dig it out and grill this up! I crave it! This reminds me of a very tasty beef souvlaki!

 INGREDIENTS:
4 large garlic cloves minced
4 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried red pepper flakes
2/3 c olive oil
2 & 1/2 lb. London broil

In a bowl whisk together marinade ingredients until combined well.
Put London broil in a large resealable plastic bag and pour marinade over it.
Seal bag, pressing out excess air, and set in a shallow dish.
Marinate meat, chilled, turning bag once or twice, overnight.
Remove marinated London broil from bag and discard marinade.
 Grill the meat as usual.
When meat is done grilling remove from grill and let rest
 for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve warm.

  3. a tip. dont fall for round steak. Use flank steak. remember to cross diamond pattern cut the surface of the meat about an 8th to a a 1/4 inch so the marinade can penetrate. After broiling both sides of the meat let it rest before using a freshly sharpened carver or better yet electric knife to cut thin slices across the grain. Meat should be very pink on the inside. Overcooking toughens the meat.

  6. Hi Lillian,
This looks like a great recipe that is exactly like this on one Epicurious (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Grilled-Marinated-London-Broil-11835). Maybe you should credit your sources? Your blog is a great platform for sharing what you've tried though!

    1. Hi Snowpeech! I actually did credit my source, as I always do. If you look at the bottom of the recipe you'll see a link back to where I found the recipe and the name of the person who posted the recipe. But I didn't find it on the Epicurious site. I found it on a site called "Just a Pinch". I guess this recipe must be posted on many different sites other than Epicurious.. Thank you so much...I'm glad you consider my blog a great platform for sharing the recipes I've tried. I truly appreciate that! =D
