Creamy Italian Crockpot Chicken

Creamy Italian Crockpot Chicken

This is an extremely easy, hearty, creamy, chicken recipe that my whole family loves! I was making this every week for a very long time! Now I make it a few times a year per family requests. I always serve it with egg noodles but it can be served with rice instead.

I found the recipe here many years ago and tweaked it slightly! I'm posting the recipe the way I've always made it. Try it, you'll like it!

INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 pkg. Good Seasons Herb Garlic dry salad dressing mix
1 large onion, sliced thinly
8oz. cream cheese - I use fat free
2 cans cream of chicken soup - I use reduced fat
1/2 cup milk - I use low fat
fresh chopped parsley, garnish - optional
12-16oz. pkg. egg noodles, cooked according to package directions

DIRECTIONS:
Place the chicken at the bottom of the crockpot.
Sprinkle with the dry dressing mix and the sliced onions.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours. Then break up the chicken into small pieces.
Add the cream cheese, soup and milk. Stir and cook another 30 minutes.
Serve warm over cooked egg noodles or rice with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley.
Serves 4-6
