I think if I was constantly making small batches of egg salad I would use it more often. When I make egg salad I always use 9 eggs, which make about 4 sandwiches. If you can get it for under $3 it might be worth a try to see if you like it! =DLillian (My Recipe Journey)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05953273225732707116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7659747395064465286.post-52825613284030280542014-03-27T12:11:59.649-07:002014-03-27T12:11:59.649-07:00mixed feelings about the "Eggie" they do...mixed feelings about the "Eggie" they do solve the problem of getting the shell off of fresh eggs. They do make a quick, easy snack when unmolded and kept in a bowl in the fridge. They would work sliced for salads, or egg salad. I don't care for the shape (half an egg) or the bubbled appearance of the exterior of the egg white. They do take prep time and clean up. I haven't been able to find out if they are dishwasher safe. They clearly state that they are not microwave safe.Maryann W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14897830720661094524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7659747395064465286.post-24277857131161373702013-06-24T08:05:55.936-07:002013-06-24T08:05:55.936-07:00LOL! Thanks...I will definitely be trying that technique! I also have since learned that adding a little baking soda to the pot of boiling water also works to make the eggs easy to peel! I tried it and that works really well also! =DLillian (My Recipe Journey)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05953273225732707116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7659747395064465286.post-89833430573718203562013-06-02T07:28:11.283-07:002013-06-02T07:28:11.283-07:00Easy peeling: cool tap water into the pot you have...Easy peeling: cool tap water into the pot you have your boiled hot eggs in, drain, do again, drain. Then roll the eggs around the pot, cracking the shell; this will not break the under lining. Next pick up your cooled egg and peel; because the underlining wasn't broken, when you peel the majority of the shell comes off together. If the eggs are too fresh, you'll end up with a mess. Let them age in your fridge a couple of weeks before using them for hardboiled. :)Sadie Sadie Married Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14023457663246576927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7659747395064465286.post-36163839272309691572012-06-26T12:15:05.050-07:002012-06-26T12:15:05.050-07:00LOL...I guess these Eggies are more popular than I...LOL...I guess these Eggies are more popular than I thought!
